Inquiokupas
The term "inquiokupas" is a colloquial blend of two Spanish words:
- "Inquilinos" (tenants)
- "Okupas" (squatters or illegal occupants)
"Inquiokupas" refers to tenants who legally enter a rental property but later stop paying rent and refuse to leave, effectively behaving like squatters while having originally entered through a legal rental agreement.
This term is mostly used in Spain and reflects concerns among landlords about the difficulty of evicting non-paying tenants due to lengthy legal processes. It's not a formal legal term but rather a popular expression in media and social discussions.
