Programme, Feria del Vino Hours & Tickets (9–11 October) of Fiesta de la Vendimia D.O. Rueda 2026
The XXXVI Fiesta de la Vendimia de la D.O. Rueda takes over the town of Rueda in the province of Valladolid from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026. Around thirty wineries pour their Verdejo whites at the Feria del Vino in the Plaza Mayor, the journalist Jaime Cantizano delivers the official proclamation, and the weekend closes with the blessing of the grapes and the traditional grape treading.
What is the Fiesta de la Vendimia de la D.O. Rueda?
The festival marks the end of the grape harvest in the Denominación de Origen Rueda, the leading appellation for quality white wines in Spain and the home of the Verdejo grape. It is organised by the Consejo Regulador de la D.O. Rueda and the Ayuntamiento de Rueda, sponsored by the Diputación de Valladolid and supported by Cajamar and the Ruta del Vino de Rueda. Each year the festival honours the work of growers and wineries from the 74 municipalities that make up the appellation.
Honours 2026: Medina del Campo and Bodegas De Alberto
This year Medina del Campo is the Municipio de Honor, in recognition of its historic links with wine and with the D.O. Rueda. Bodegas De Alberto is the Bodega de Honor; its De Alberto VORR was the first Rueda wine to reach 100 points in Tim Atkin's Rueda Top 100. The distinction will be collected by the winery's managing director, Carmen San Martín. Both awards are presented on Sunday 11 October during the central act.
